Matteo Correggia inherited his father’s estate in 1985. At this time, farmers on his side of the Tanaro river were more successful growing fruit and vegetables than they were growing grapes. Matteo always aspired to make quality wines from the region. The combination of sea and flooding in the Roero region have resulted in the area having a variety of microclimates and soils. Taste = pear and apricot with a slightly bitter floral note. 2008 PRIMA Pinot Noir, Hirsch Vineyard, Sonoma Coast

It's back! The second-annual vintage of PRIMA's own Pinot Noir from our friends at Hirsch. John, JD, Joe and Angela made the trip up the Sonoma Coast to sample barrels for the final blend of this wine. We are very pleased with it, and hope you will like it too. Taste = cherries, raspberries and smoky earth. |
